LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, the former Punjab governor and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader, called on party chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Sarwar discussed the current political situation in Pakistan and the ongoing Israeli brutalities against the Palestinians, with the former prime minister.

Shujaat said that the solution to the problems facing Pakistan lied in moving forward unitedly.

Seconding his viewpoint, Sarwar added that every politician should forget personal interests and think in the larger interest of the country.

He said that transparent elections were the guarantee of the revival of the country’s economy.

He also said that the PML-Q would field candidates from every constituency in the general elections.

About the Palestine conflict, Shujaat said the Muslim world stood in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.

Endorsing Shujaat’s remarks, Sarwar added that Islamic countries would have to move beyond words to stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.

According to reports, Shujaat also expressed grief over the demise of the brother of Chaudhry Sarwar.

PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Ch Shafi Hussain were also present in the meeting.
